GMC AT4 vs. Elevation: Which GMC Truck Trim Is Right for You?

When shopping for a new GMC truck, one of the biggest decisions drivers face is choosing between the GMC AT4 and GMC Elevation trims. Both offer bold styling, advanced technology, and impressive capability—but they’re built for very different types of drivers. At Phillips Buick GMC in Fruitland Park, Florida, customers throughout The Villages, Ocala, Leesburg, Clermont, and Central Florida often ask which trim delivers the best value, performance, and everyday usability. If you’re comparing the GMC Sierra Elevation vs. AT4, this guide breaks down the key differences so you can choose the GMC truck that best matches your lifestyle. What Is the Difference Between GMC AT4 and Elevation? The primary difference between the GMC AT4 and Elevation trims comes down to purpose. The GMC Elevation is designed for drivers who want aggressive styling, modern technology, and strong everyday capability at a more affordable price point. The GMC AT4, on the other hand, is engineered for serious off-road performance while still offering premium comfort and technology. At Phillips Buick GMC in Fruitland Park, many buyers choose the Elevation for commuting, towing, and daily driving around Central Florida, while outdoor enthusiasts and adventure-focused drivers gravitate toward the AT4 for its rugged off-road features. GMC Elevation: Bold Style Meets Everyday Capability The GMC Elevation trim has become one of the most popular GMC Sierra configurations because it delivers premium appearance upgrades without moving into luxury-level pricing. GMC Elevation Exterior Features The Elevation trim stands out with: Gloss black grille and black exterior accents Body-color bumpers and door handles 20-inch black aluminum wheels LED fog lamps and signature lighting Athletic monochromatic styling Drivers across The Villages and Leesburg love the Elevation because it offers a sportier appearance compared to traditional chrome-heavy truck designs. GMC Elevation Interior & Technology Inside the Sierra Elevation, you’ll find a refined and technology-focused cabin featuring: 13.4-inch GMC Premium Infotainment System Google Built-In capability Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ Available heated front seats and steering wheel GMC Pro Safety suite The Elevation trim delivers an ideal balance between comfort, functionality, and value for drivers who want a truck that feels upscale without stepping into Denali pricing territory. GMC AT4: Built for Off-Road Adventure If your lifestyle includes off-road trails, camping, towing toys, or rugged terrain, the GMC AT4 was built specifically for you. What Makes GMC AT4 Special? The AT4 trim includes factory-installed off-road equipment that separates it from the Elevation. Key AT4 features include: Factory 2-inch suspension lift Rancho monotube off-road shocks Skid plates for underbody protection Automatic locking rear differential Two-speed transfer case Off-road drive modes Red recovery hooks All-terrain tires Unlike many trucks that require aftermarket modifications, the GMC AT4 comes trail-ready directly from the factory. GMC AT4 Interior Features The AT4 also adds premium upgrades including: Heated and ventilated leather seating Kalahari interior accents Premium stitching and trim materials Advanced camera systems Hill descent control For drivers around Ocala, Clermont, and Central Florida who enjoy boating, camping, hunting, or outdoor adventures, the AT4 delivers capability without sacrificing luxury. Is the GMC AT4 Lifted? Yes. One of the biggest differences between the AT4 and Elevation is the suspension setup. The GMC AT4 includes a factory-installed 2-inch lift designed to improve: Ground clearance Off-road approach angles Trail capability Water crossing ability Suspension articulation The Elevation trim does not include this off-road suspension system, making it better suited for pavement and light-duty use. Towing Comparison: GMC Elevation vs. AT4 Both trims offer impressive towing capabilities when properly equipped. Available engine options include: 2.7L TurboMax™ engine 5.3L V8 3.0L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel Available 6.2L V8 on select AT4 models Depending on configuration, both the GMC Sierra Elevation and AT4 can tow substantial loads, making them excellent choices for: Boat towing Travel trailers Utility trailers Work equipment Recreational vehicles The difference is that the AT4 combines towing capability with enhanced off-road equipment, while the Elevation focuses more on style, efficiency, and everyday drivability. GMC AT4 vs. Denali: Rugged vs. Luxury Many GMC shoppers also compare the AT4 to the Denali trim. GMC Denali Focuses On: Premium luxury Chrome exterior styling Adaptive ride comfort High-end interior materials Available Super Cruise® GMC AT4 Focuses On: Off-road performance Trail-ready suspension Rugged styling Functional capability Adventure-oriented features At Phillips Buick GMC, Denali buyers typically prioritize luxury and highway comfort, while AT4 buyers want a truck that can confidently handle both pavement and trails. Which GMC Trim Is Best for You? Choose GMC Elevation If You Want: Sporty appearance Blacked-out styling Strong value Daily driving comfort Advanced technology Occasional towing capability Choose GMC AT4 If You Want: Serious off-road capability Factory suspension lift Rugged performance Trail-ready equipment Premium off-road styling Adventure-focused functionality Shop GMC Sierra AT4 and Elevation at Phillips Buick GMC At Phillips Buick GMC in Fruitland Park, FL, drivers throughout The Villages, Ocala, Leesburg, Mount Dora, and Central Florida can explore a massive selection of new GMC Sierra trucks, including both Elevation and AT4 trims. 3 New Trailering Features of the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500

The 2021 GMC Sierra added a few new features and technology to make towing even easier for owners.  Three new trailering features: Trailer Length Indicator; Jack-Knife Alert; and Cargo Bed View Enhancement are all welcome additions The Trailer Length Indicator will appear on the truck’s central infotainment screen when a trailer is hooked up and the turn signal is activated. By displaying a red overlay two-times the length of the compatible trailer on the screen, the driver can easily see which vehicles are present in their blind spot and if there is room for both the truck and trailer in the other lane.  A genius bit of applied technology sure to reduce the blood pressure while towing and keep everyone safer. The Jack-Knife Alert is a system that will track the position of the compatible trailer in relation to the vehicle and provide an alert if a potential jack-knife situation is believed to be imminent.  This kind of information helps keep your head in the game with some high-quality monitoring. more The Cargo Bed View enhancement is comprised of the Cargo Bed Zoom View and Bed Hitch Guidance, which provide a rearward facing view of the truck that helps to align and hook up a gooseneck/fifth-wheel trailer. All three of these innovative uses of onboard technology not only benefit experienced drivers but add another level when training a new driver on proper towing techniques.  Seeing how a trailer tracks during various maneuvers helps everyone keep focused and able to properly anticipate events. GMC Sierra owners want and expect class-leading safety technology and comfort to tow what they need to tow.  Whether it’s a boat, an RV or a trailer hauling off-road toys. These new features will be available in the GMC Sierra 1500 and GMC Sierra HD series. First introduced with the 2019 GMC Sierra, the MultiPro tailgate offers enhanced usability, flexibility, and functionality via six different configurable positions. The latest 2021 GMC Sierra brings expanded availability for the feature.  Now, the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 offers the MultiPro tailgate as an available option on SLE and Elevation trims without restrictions, while the feature continues as standard on SLT, AT4, and Denali trims.

2021 GMC SIERRA 1500: AT4 VALUE PACKAGE

They say that the rich get richer and that is true where the popular 2021 Sierra 1500 AT4 is concerned.  Already blessed with 8-package options the AT4 Value Package makes 9 different packages to choose from for this top-selling truck. $500 Savings The AT4 Value Package was slated to be priced at $2,605.00 but for now is available at $2,105.  Besides saving $500 here is what the package includes: Universal Home Remote, Rear sliding power window, 8-inch diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment with navigation, Bose Premium Audio system, Wireless charging, Driver Alert Package, Front and rear Park Assist, Front and rear Park Assist, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Wheel Upgrade That’s not all.  Buyers can also upgrade from the GMC Sierra 1500 AT4’s standard 18-inch wheels to 20-inch machined aluminum rims with Carbon Gray Metallic accents. These can be fitted with 275/60R20SL all-terrain black wall tires or LT265/60R20 MT black wall Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires. View GMC Sierra 1500 Get Directions Contact Us more Ready to Go Off-Road If you opt for the 20-inch wheels the package will cost $3,405 and adding the Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires will put the package at $3,700.  It is all part of the plan to give owners what they want to suit their needs and expectations without locking things down in just one package.  The ability to tailor an Off-Road package is huge where tire choices are concerned.  It is the difference between Off-Road sometimes, and Off-Road a lot. If you are familiar with GMC Sierra 1500 pricing you already know that the AT4 Preferred Package costs $1,420, the Driver Alert Package $890, the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires cost $295, the 20-inch machined aluminum wheels cost $800, the all-terrain tires are a free upgrade and the Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires cost $295. The price of the whole package is therefore exactly equal to the sum of its parts, if those parts were ordered individually. However, by putting them all into the AT4 Value Package, GMC has made it easier for dealers to order the GMC Sierra 1500 with all those parts fitted which is an important consideration, since these are among the truck’s most popular optional features among owners. Come and see the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 and get a feel for how your plans for going off-road can become a reality.  Having something for everybody is good but having just the thing for you is even better.  Here’s to a better year in a new Sierra 1500 AT4. 2021 GMC CANYON: TRIM LEVELS

Everything is easier with the GMC Canyon.  There are only four trim levels: Elevation Standard, Elevation, AT4, and Denali. The AT4 and Denali are available exclusively with 4WD. Speaking of 4WD, you can get that on all trims but the Elevation Standard. The engines kind of work the same way. The 2.5L 4-cyl with a 6-speed is standard and the 3.6L V6 with an 8-speed is available on all trims and standard with 4WD. The 2.8L Duramax Turbo Diesel 4-cyl with a 6-speed is available on all trims but the Elevation Standard. Which Trim is Best for You? The best trim for you always depends on how you want to use your Canyon. If you are going off-roading, then the AT4 trim will give you that capability and a factory warranty to go with it. Much better than the after-market route outside of the parameters of the factory warranty. Why Splurge on the Denali Trim? The new 2021 Canyon Denali is a great way to get all the bells and whistles but without looking like you're going to the Country Club. It has some bling but does not overdo it. You just get to enjoy all the goodies that come with the Denali trim.  Things like: Standard Bose® Premium Audio System, 20" diamond-cut machined aluminum wheels, Heated and ventilated perforated leather-appointed front seating and real wood trim, Standard wireless smartphone charging, Standard Driver Alert Package, Spray-on bedliner with Denali logo, and LED fog lamps, just to name a few. more How Does the Canyon Compare to Other Trucks? Driving the new 2021 GMC Canyon will convince you because the competition does not feel like this truck feels.  There are some good ones out there. The mid-size market is highly competitive. That’s why the new Canyon is what it is and does what it does.  The base Canyon with the four-cylinder can tow 3500 pounds and has a payload capacity of 1599 pounds; with the diesel, it can tow up to 7700 pounds and has a payload capacity of 1605 pounds. If you need a truck, but don’t need to spend $60,000, then you should be in a 2021 Canyon. There is plenty to choose from and you don’t have to settle.  The new 2021 Canyon is one of the best ways to spend your trucking dollars.  Come see us and find out for yourself.

New 2021 GMC Sierra MultiPro Tailgate

NEW 2021 GMC SIERRA: MULTIPRO TAILGATE

First introduced in 2019, the GMC Sierra MultiPro tailgate offers enhanced usability, flexibility, and functionality via six different configurable positions which allows for seven ways to use it.  The MultiPro tailgate received rave reviews when introduced and immediate acceptance from truck buyers. Two in One The MultiPro tailgate is essentially two tailgates in one.  The design consists of a primary gate which functions like a conventional tailgate.  A smaller, inner gate is hinged within the primary gate.  Raising and lowering the two tailgate panels in different combinations allows the MultiPro tailgate to perform multiple functions. Strong and Dependable Above all else, Sierra’s MultiPro is designed to be a strong, durable and useful tool. As such, GMC engineers focused on not only designing the tailgate according to truck owner input in order to maximize its functionality and convenience, but also designed it to be strong and dependable, no matter how it’s used. Seven Smart Ways to Use the MultiPro Tailgate 1.) The GMC Sierra MultiPro can open and close just like any other conventional tailgate.  By pressing a release button on the tailgate, itself, a button on the instrument panel, or a button on the remote key fob, MultiPro lowers and opens exactly like a traditional tailgate.  MultiPro is equipped with both a torsional spring and a damper, which allow the tailgate to be easily raised and smoothly lowered. 2.) If you’re hauling longer items – say, sheets of plywood, or perhaps a paddleboard or two – MultiPro’s load stop feature helps prevent items from sliding out of the box. The inside panel within the inner gate can be unlatched and folded upright, providing a vertical barrier for longer items. more 3.) Lowering Sierra’s MultiPro’s inner gate while the primary gate is also lowered effectively allows you to stand nearly 7-9" closer to the pickup box floor than with a conventional tailgate.  Perfect for reaching further into Sierra’s cargo box, or for loading and unloading bulky or heavy items. 4.) While Sierra’s standard CornerStep rear bumper eases entry and egress into the cargo bed, MultiPro goes a step further. When the primary and inner gates are both released and lowered, the inner panel can be unlatched from the inner gate and folded down, creating a 48" wide step, which is rated for 375 pounds. Additionally, a hand grab can be folded out from the cargo box wall and locked in place, further assisting in entry and egress. 5.) Sierra’s cargo boxes feature a two-tier loading design, which allow owners to insert a platform, possibly a plywood sheet, to separate items within the bed.  MultiPro extends that versatility by also providing a load stop for longer items placed into the upper tier of storage. Simply lower the inner gate panel and unfold the inside panel to form a vertical load stop. 6.) Whether you’re working on a project, preparing a tackle box, or tailgating at the big game, a pickup’s tailgate can often serve as a useful work surface. By lowering the inner gate alone, MultiPro provides a work surface at a comfortable height, much like a traditional workbench. Sierra’s available in-bed 120-volt electrical outlet makes this an even more versatile place to work. 7.) If you’re setting up a campsite or tailgating at the big game, and want to bring your music outdoors and closer to you – but don’t want to leave your truck running in order to play the stereo – the available Kicker MultiPro Sound System accessory can be quite handy.  The GMC Sierra MultiPro Audio system by KICKER is integrated with the MultiPro’s inner gate panel.  The KICKER is a 100-watt, exterior audio system with durable weatherproof components.
